One of the best ways to make new friends is to try something different, give it a fair shake of your time, attention and effort, and as you become more excited and more capable within that hobby, you will naturally begin to find yourself around others that may be experiencing many of the same new emotions as you unexpectedly found yourself doing that first Monday when you didn’t even need to own an alarm clock!

Experts often recommend taking time to “transition” into retirement.  You don’t have to be an “expert” at being retired from day one!  Take your time.  Experiment with different hobbies.  Maybe something you would never have even glanced at 30 years ago brings out a level of excitement you thought you may never feel again, after leaving that company that you felt was part of your heart, mind, and soul.  But now YOU are recipient of YOUR time and energy.  Put some effort into your new future by stepping outside of your comfort zone and maybe check out a few of these ideas….
